Description
Damask rose or paneer rose is a variety of pink rose and has a very good aroma and fragrance. The flowers are renowned for their fine fragrance and are commercially harvested for rose oil. The flower petals are edible and are used to flavour food, had as herbal tea. It may be utilised for both medicinal purposes and auspicious puja rites. This paneer Rose may be used to create garlands.
In South India, it is used for auspicious pooja rituals. Garlands made from these flowers are used in engagement and marriage ceremonies.
